Shot Show 2013 Preview: Day Three

Small Arms Review's very own Chris Choat is at Show Show 2013 this week in Las Vegas, Nevada! Every day Chris will be updating us all on the interesting products he runs into at the show.

Today's update focuses on products from Masterpiece Arms, M+M Inc., NEMO, U. S. Fire Arms Manufacturing Company, Blue Stone Safety Products, and Slide Fire Solutions.

Slide Fire Solutions seems to add new products on a weekly basis. At SHOT this year they are showing off their new BFS (Belt-Feed System). The new system allows an AR-15 to have belt fed capability and works with standard Mil-Spec links. This new system also allows the gun to switch back to regular magazine if the need arises. Combine this with their proven Slide Fire stocks and you have maximum firepower. They are also producing a new forearm that helps the Slide Fire stock work even better. New colors will be available on all their stocks and this year they will be introducing stocks for .308 platforn guns, Saiga guns and also for the Ruger 10/22

M+M Inc. is bringing out their new SAN P553 pistol. The new pistol features Swiss precision and is imported exclusively by them. The pistol features folding front and rear emergency sights, a folding winter trigger guard, connectable magazines and all of the other features that a Sig purist would want. The gun will also be available in an SBR version with accessories such as a quad rail forearm.

Masterpiece Arms has just introduced even more sound suppressors to add to their existing line. New units will be available in 5.56/.223, 300 Blackout, .308 and two new .22 Long Rifle units; an aluminum model and a stainless steel model that is full-auto rated. Masterpiece Arms also have a new carbine called the MPAR that is available in either 5.56 or 300 Blackout. Features of this carbine include an adjustable piston gas system, quad-rail handguard, full length top rail, side-folding collapsible M4 style stock and side cocking handle with forward assist.

Masterpiece Arms also hNEMO (New Evolutiuon Military Ordnance) unveiled their new OMEN rifle. The first AR platform rifle to be chambered in .300 Win Mag. This advanced semi-auto sniper system has 1500 yard capability. The gun is said to have the recoil of an AR in .308 with the overall weight of under 12 pounds. The gun is fed by 14 round magazines. Every OMEN carries carries a sub MOA accuracy guarantee.ave a new carbine called the MPAR that is available in either 5.56 or 300 Blackout. U. S. Fire Arms Manufacturing Company has a new .22 long rifle pistol that has become the talk of the show. Called the ZIP the new pistol features a 5.25 inch barrel and uses Ruger 10/22 magazines. The gun looks like nothing you have seen before, in fact it doesn`t even look like a gun. The ZIP weighs less thsn 1 pound and is semi-auto but has no slide. There is already a full line of accessories for it that include a removeable top Picatinny rail, an SBR top rail that allows the gun to be mounted on the bottom rail of a carbine and even a threaded barrel for use with a suppressor. Blue Stone Safety Products has a new Concealment Vest that has a built-in ballistic panel. The vest can be worn as a regular concealed carry vest as is has pockets for pistols as well as extra magazines or by adding the removable ballistic panel it can be turned into a Threat Level 3A vest. It comes in either olive or black and in sizes up to 6X.
